Clinical and Biomedical Sciences
Marina is a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter Medical School, working within the Reproductive Genomics team, part of the Genetics of Complex Traits group.
Her current research focuses on the genetic basis of reproductive ageing and the timing of menopause, using whole-genome sequencing data from large-scale population cohorts, including UK Biobank and All of Us.
Before joining Exeter in 2024, Marina completed a PhD at the University of Bristol, where she investigated breast cancer risk factors and its link to early-life adiposity. Her work applied methods from genetic epidemiology and statistical genetics, including Mendelian Randomization (Nature Comms, 2024).
