About me:
I am a qualified general nurse, having trained at The Middlesex Hospital in London in 1983 and specialising in neuro-intensive care nursing. After completing a BSc Hons in psychology, I moved into research in 2000 and worked as a researcher at The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Dublin), at King's College, London and later joined the Department of Primary Care and General Practice at the University of Exeter Medical School. I have been involved in numerous qualitative and quantitative research projects covering a wide range of health services and primary care research. As a Research Fellow, I currently work on two cancer studies; CoPECaD (Early Detection of Cancer in Community Pharmacies) (systematic review and survey) and SPOCC (Spotting Cancer among Comorbidities) (intervention development). I also maintain a part-time role (since 2016) within a general practice as a research facilitator.
